The international airport of Dublin, one of the busiest hubs in Europe with nearly 30 million passengers annually, initiated an expansion project in 2009 to cope with the increasing traffic.
In 2020, LUXSOLAR supplied LIOL-B beacons (low intensity 32cd steady red for night mode) for new construction, compliant with ICAO Annex 14 regulations for structures below 45m in height. In 2023, LUXSOLAR was again called upon to provide new LIOL-A beacons (low intensity at 10cd) entirely powered by solar energy.
